AIMS OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

·       To effectively and efficiently facilitate the provision of equitable social protection services to communities in order to contribute to sustainable human development.

·       This involves providing topic social protection services to promote inclusive, sustainable human and community development.

·       Some of the specific initiatives and programmes they are involved in include

   i.          Community Development programs: Empowering Communities through various initiates

  ii.          Supporting Women Livelihoods: Managing the supporting livelihoods (SWL) initiative as part of the GEWEL project. 

 iii.          Disability inclusion: Promoting the equality full participation and empowerment of persons with disabilities.

  iv.          The Ministry of Community Development has a strong focus on working with communities and other organizations to achieve its goals.

       The main goal of the department is

 “To establish a more diversified and sustainable Community and to create and develop Community centered on justice, equality and mutual respect”
