The Electronic Government Procurement (E-GP) System is a digital platform that enables governments to conduct procurement activities online, leveraging Information and Communications Technology particularly the internet to streamline interactions with suppliers. Through this system, public sector entities can acquire goods, works, and consultancy services with enhanced efficiency and transparency.
Effective 1 January 2024, Chembe Town Council will transition all procurement processes for goods and services to the e-GP system, accessible via the ZPPA website. This shift reflects the Council’s ongoing commitment to innovation, accountability, and improved service delivery for the community.
All service providers, suppliers and contractors intending to do business with the Local Authority in the areas or works, supply of goods and services must be registered with ZPPA and will on be able to bid for tinders via the e-GP platform provided by the Zambia Public Procurement Authority.
