For immediate release 24th January 2026 Chembe District- Honorable Cliff Mpundu, Member of Parliament for Chembe Constituency, yesterday handed over a wheelchair to a young
Chembe District was formally established in 2012, following a presidential declaration by His Excellency the late President Michael Chilufya Sata. Carved out of Mansa District in Zambia's Luapula Province, it now operates as a distinct administrative entity.
The district comprises a single constituency, Chembe Constituency, and is divided into eight wards, each represented by an elected councillor. The full Council consists of eleven members: the eight ward councillors, the Council Chairperson, and two respected traditional leaders, Chief Kalasa Lukangaba and Chief Kasoma Lwela. Readmore
